Job Description:
Yongama Labour Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist to provide electrical engineering expertise on borehole development projects incorporating renewable energy systems, particularly solar power.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide professional electrical engineering input on borehole development projects.
- Design, assess or oversee electrical systems associated with borehole infrastructure.
- Support integration of solar and other renewable-energy systems.
- Review electrical designs, technical specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure engineering work complies with applicable standards and professional requirements.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and project execution.
- Coordinate with geohydrologists, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Registered with ECSA as either:
- Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.), or
- Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr.Tech.Eng. / Professional Engineering Technologist).
- Registration in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience.
- Experience in the development of boreholes within South Africa.
- Demonstrated renewable energy experience, particularly solar systems.
