Job Description:
Yongama Labour Solutions is seeking an experienced Ground Water Specialist / Geohydrologist to support groundwater investigation and borehole development projects. The successful candidate will provide specialist geohydrological input throughout the planning, assessment and development of boreholes in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct and/or oversee groundwater investigations and assessments.
- Provide specialist geohydrological input for borehole development projects.
- Assess groundwater conditions and potential borehole development sites.
- Support borehole siting, development, testing and evaluation activities.
- Prepare technical findings and reports.
- Ensure work complies with applicable professional and project requirements.
- Liaise with project engineers, contractors and other technical specialists.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Geohydrology, Geology, Hydrogeology or a related field.
- Registered as a Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) with SACNASP.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the development of boreholes within South Africa.
- Demonstrated experience in groundwater and borehole-related projects.
